Pastoral Ministry is about the care of souls.  We do this when we pray for each other in our needs, sitting with one another in times of grief and sadness. We also do this when we joyfully celebrate each other’s successes. Pastoral Ministry is also about good planning and stewardship of the gifts that God has given us. Thus, our Finance Council is included as a Pastoral Ministry. 

Bereavement & Funerals - Fr. Andrew

The goal of our parish bereavement ministry is that no member of the faith community grieves alone. The compassion of God embraces all, the rich and poor, the active and inactive, the known and unknown. Our outreach should be no less compassionate as it strives to be the loving comfort of God here and now.

Our bereavement ministry team offers services to those who are grieving, to include assistance with funeral arrangements and coordination, planning, liturgy, and long-term support. We've developed a process and plan for putting caring into action.

After a loved ones' death, call the parish office (321) 269-2282 to speak with Father Andrew. A bereavement counselor will contact you to arrange the Funeral Mass and all that it entails.

Ministry to the Sick - Chris Doyon

Ministry to the Sick at Holy Spirit parish is a pastoral ministry of caring for those people hospitalized, in nursing homes, or confined to private homes on a weekly basis. This ministry is provided by trained and certified lay men and women. Fr. Andrew also visits the sick and homebound on the First Friday of each month.

Finance Council

The Finance Council is an appointed council of parishioners who provide advice to the pastor in taking care of the financial aspects of the parish.  While formal training is not necessary, most members of the Finance Council are asked to serve because of their experience in financial management, accounting, banking, investment counseling, and general business knowledge.  The Council meets monthly to evaluate our monthly P&L Statement, review budget spending, as well as plan for the future financial health of the parish.
